THE CONCRETE RAISED US

The world of skateboarding and longboarding is in my DNA.

I wrote and directed this short film as an experiment in storytelling, blending narrative camera angles, interview-style sequences, and a gritty black-and-white aesthetic.

Through the eyes of old-school skaters, the film captures a nostalgic reflection on their youth, their lifestyle, and the culture that shaped them. It’s raw, intimate, and steeped in the energy of streets, empty pools, and the concrete that raised them. Above all, it’s a reminder of an era defined by inclusion, not exclusion.
